How to Prepare For An Inspection?

  • Access

Make sure that all areas of the home are accessible, especially to the attic, crawl space, furnace, electrical panel and water meter. It’s also a good idea to trim any trees and shrubs that may make an inspection of the exterior of the property difficult.

  •  Housekeeping
We will photograph your home for the inspection report, so clearing the clutter and moving vehicles from the front of the home will help the inspection go smoother.

  • Information

Provide information such as receipts about any improvements that you might have had done, such as additional insulation in attic or walls, electrical service or wiring upgrades, plumbing or similar upgrades that might not be obviously apparent or easily observed.

  • Instructions

Leave instructions on switch locations and procedures for turning on gas fireplaces, whirlpool baths and any other similar items that might have controls that are not immediately visible and obvious.

  • Maintenance

Repair minor things like leaky faucets, missing door handles and trim.
